Welcome to Plaza del Rey Studios! Co-founded in 2024 by husband and wife, Luis Flores and Alexa Reynoso, Plaza Del Rey Studios began with the idea to replicate the magic Luis experienced while attending CalArts for graduate school. It was a time and place where a small group of dedicated individuals worked diligently in their studios, side-by-side, toward a common goal- to explore, develop, and expand the limitations of their practice. When not in the studio, he would often socialize in the courtyard and share things that he was working on with his peers. Conversations would unfold, arguments would ensue, and collaborations were born. It was a precious time he would only understand and fully appreciate after it was gone. After graduating, it became clear how important it is to be in community with other like-minded individuals who are passionate and serious about their work and art making practice. 10 years later Plaza del Rey Studios was born.
